Energy Efficiency

materials

A key advantage of the MSR Wetland is its ultra low energy consumption.  On projects where long term operating costs are a factor, these systems are highly competitive having less energy consumption and low associated emissions.  The aerobic phase is achieved with a trickling filter process which is significantly more efficient than a package plant aerated system of similar capacity and performance.

Capital Cost

The MSR Wetland system utilizes civil engineering materials which are locally available in most areas.  The use of local materials allows a competitive capital cost, which varies from region to region according to local prices.

Low Maintenance

Because the primary treatment in the MSR Wetland harnesses self-regulating natural processes powered by photosynthesis little maintenance is required.  This provides a significant advantage over mechanical treatment options and lower O & M costs for the long term.
